No Air - Hot or Cold

Here's the deal: the air has been making noise since I bought the truck at 26K miles. Didn't think much of it. The noise grew progressively louder within the last two weeks, so I began to get a little more concerned (BTW, I now know this has been a well-documented problem with 2nd gens on TW). Tonight, the air quit working altogether, on all speeds, hot or cold. The truck is now at almost 50K miles and I am out of the 36K warranty, but I do have a Toyota extended warranty good till 100K. Is this a TSB and/or do you guys think the stealership will fix this for free?

I know there was a tsb for the fan motor. mine was making a squeking noise on low speed in cold weather. I got it replaced and it started doing it again and now i am out of warranty.. what kind of sound was yours making?

 

First it was clicking, then squeaking and clicking. I think it finally just gave out.

 

UPDATE: Blower motor is gone. Dealer is replacing it for free under my Platinum 100K Warranty. Thank goodness I spent the extra money on that.

 

Thanks for the info, but that wouldn't really help in my situation. My truck is out of the comprehensive warranty, and that TSB only covers Tacomas that are still within its bounds. Luckily, my extended warranty did cover the work.
