First, let me just say, I love my truck, and I'm happy I bought it! But, I can't for the life of me understand why Toyota didn't add auto headlights and doorlocks! Sure I can lock my own doors and turn my own headlights on, but, when almost every car (or at least every car I have ever owned) had that feature, it's hard to get back into the habit of manually doing it again! It seems like a step backwards. I am really wondering why the Tacoma doesn't have this feature, it's mind boggling! !!

Dang, I was lucky I had a/c in my first truck. No power door locks, power windows, or cassette player. I was spoiled with my second one having auto headlights. I understand auto headlights are an option with our tacos but auto door locks are not which is annoying considering every other Toyota has them except tacomas and at least first gen tundras.

Mine has auto headlights. Leave the headlights on. When you open the door, they shut off. When you start the engine, they turn on.

Have you checked to see if there is a way to enable the auto door lock? I set that up in the 2010 4Runner I had, I forget the procedure but IIRC it was in the manual.
