No Clock

Because most broke people would rather look cool than look broke

 

I bought a TCUV 4Runner. Had a comprehensive warranty claim and did not have to pay a deductible.

 

The "Platinum VSA" is only applicable after the 12 month/12,000 mile warranty, and should be fully refundable until that point. We bought the "Platinum" 8 year 125,000 mile $0 deductible for our 2014 4Runner, only because they sold it to us for $1,500, and it covers ball joints/bearings/bushings, and all electrical items, including the radio. The SD card they are talking about is only for the Navigation, and probably isn't covered.

 

@OP if you go into general settings there should be a bunch of options for clock

if thats not there something is not connected or the software is messed up

 

No aftermarket warranty will cover as much as the Toyota warranty, and if they do, read the fine print very carefully.

 

It didn't say radio, but it was supposed to be scanned to make sure the software was up to date, it said something about the audio system, and did said proper operation of the clock. What a rabbit hole I ended up in just trying to get my clock working

 

Have you tried updating the software in the head unit via the Entune App on your phone?

 

I have not, the dealership tried to reprogram it and reflash it with the correct tacoma specific software, think it's still worth a shot?

Ask to speak with the General Manager. Be professional but, put your foot down. You paid too much money for them to give you the run around.

 

Download the Entune app on your phone, sign up, then do it via the app on your phone.

 

What ever happened with this? I have the exact same problem on my 16 Trd off road. I am hoping you found a fix that didn't cost a lot.

Download the Navigation Manual and search "status display" and "clock".

Did this. Basically where it says my clock options should be and where the clock is in the status display; it just isn't.

 

I also have a message on every start up that the OP described which says something to the effect of "new sofware isn't compatible with the system."

 

Same time wtf lol
