No CMC

    300-450 out here purchase bamf cmc plate from bay area metal fabrications website. I have 285/70/17’s on ome 886 springs not a single rub. So i was lucky enough to not need a cmc but i wouldnt be scared of doing one to get the tire size you want. They use a saw or plasma cuter, cut out a triangle and weld the aftermarket plates on then spraypaint. Good job its hard to tell anything was even done. Plus only voids can mount warranty and nothing else so no worries

    Which backspacing would be better for 285/70/17....17x8 or 17x9 with -12 offset?

    I have heard from others ~4.75 bs with zero offset gets good results, however that being said, 285/70/17's WILL rub during full flex even with a 3" lift. I know your thinking, "I dont wanna cut into my truck etc etc", I have been there. A cmc is "minor operation" and when done right you can't even tell. Just look at some photos I posted. @glorifiedwelder fixed another shops hack job, turned out great!

    find someone thats done it. The CMC dose not take long. I have seen it down here for $150. We did it on my truck in 30 min or so.
