No coin holder but plenty of cup holders.

Some of you may think this is cheesy but I like the interior of my car to look clean and coins collect french fry crumbs and all sorts of other junk when just thrown into a cup holder, or other area. All my other cars have had some sort of change holder, and the Tacoma doesn't. Change comes in handy for me.

Advance Auto parts sells a 4.99 coin holder that fits in a cup holder. Just wanted to give a heads up! It holds qtr,nickl,dime and the base is removable to store pennies in.

Problem Solved.




Oh ya autozone sells a locking gas cap for 14.99 tell them model year 2009 if you have a 2010 and it will fit. Got that problem solved also.

 

Look to the left of your steering wheel and down on the dash. Does yours not have a coin cubby thing there?

 

or you could use the coin holder that opens to the left of the steering wheel

Love the cup holders....always staying thirsty in VT.

 

The cup holders were a selling point for me especially the ones that hold the super big gulps in the summer time!

 

I hate coins- Keep an emergency 20 in the truck and my credit card on me. All my coins either get handed to my wife or dropped into my coin jar at home.

 

Don't get me wrong. I love cup holders, but 13? BTW, I have a coin tray Mr. 1st gen.

 

I have my 1st gen coin holder in my 2nd gen.

The "ONLY" Reason why I bought my TACOma was because of the Cup Holders. I said, anything that can have this many cup holders must be "BOUGHT". Well I did.

I was sold @ first site.

P.S - How can "ONE" miss that Coin Holder? Dam Captain Obvious

I didn't know about my coin holder till my friend found it.. LOL

 

Yeah, but the cup holders in my '09 (manual trans console) SUCK! They're hard plastic, so anything put in there rattles around!! At least my FJ has nice removable soft rubber ones. I miss the holders in my '96 Tacoma....

 

LOL the OP is prolly like damn maybe I should have looked around in my truck before I posted this I could have saved $14!

 

yeah you can't use that tray thing to hold coins...that would be horrible rattliing all the time...what i did is use an old billfold that has the zipper inside it for coins....and put it in that tray thing

 

I have prolly $8 of change in that thing and I dont hear it at all.

 

I use it for a mini flash light holder. Hardly ever carry cash on me

 

This is my coin holder. After I have finished the gum I just throw all my change in there. Fits perfect the rear cup holder and does not rattle.

 

I keep change in the cubby to the right of the steering wheel. I have ALOT in there and it doesn't rattle. If it does it's barely audible and not noticeable over radio/windows open/exhaust noise.
