Long story short : No Cold air due to compressor clutch shutting off as soon as it is engaged.

    Issues:

    1. Compressor clutch turns on for 1 second and completely shuts off ( code 22 on dash and code B1422 compressor lock according to the shop’s tablet.
    2. AC light turns on for 1 sec and shuts off wont stay on meaning the compressor clutch will not stay on

    things that still work:
    1. Fan
    2. Heater
    3. No leaks due to dye test that the shop made , twice.

    Things I have done:

    1. Taken it to the dealer they suggested a replacement of the whole AC system ( quoted me $4000+ to replace
    condenser, compressor, drier, labor, etc..)

    2. Checked the relay for MG CLT ( engages works fine bc I switched it with the horn.

    3. Replaced the compressor with a new one.

    4. Bought a $600 AC amplifier bc that was the diagnosis of a different shop. Which they say is a computer issue… still did not solve the issue.

    5. placed the correct refrigerant and the right amount 18oz of 1234fy

NEED HELP GUYS, im already $2600 deep into this with 1234fy costing $300 and 200 for evac and charge and still at SQUARE ONE.

Anyone experiencing the same problems? Or have any suggested resolution. Im in texas and its about to be hot as hell.

it sounds like it's low and short cycling because of it. I would get another opinion from a good tech and stop throwing parts at it,,, sorry :(

Tell me more… maybe you’re on to something and I would love to take a different approach on this. What do you mean by “low and short cycling”? And What do you suggest ?
