"No drill" front license plate mount

I finally had mine mounted, Will post pics tonight if I can.

break the law and don't use one. its a stupid goddam law anyway and while i have a tremendous amount of respect for our police force no one tells me to drill into my baby

 

That's the way I was with 5% tint, the cops / state troopers would tell me to take it off right there, "No just give me the ticket" that would piss them off. What's more annoying though is these damn kids put the brightest hids possible in their pos trucks and blind the hell out of everyone and they never get tickets..

 

Ok here you go. Use a small length of the angle bracing used for garage door openers. Attach to existing brackets used for the front valence. Remove plate by hand before offroading. Easy.

 

So had it on a long road trip no bending at highway speed or anything, you cant see the bracket at all and it still shows the registration stickers.

Get some rare earth magnets and mounting cups for them and install them onto the license plate. Put a small piece of steel angle iron where you need to mount the license plate and stick it there. When off road just grab the plate and toss it in the cab. My front plate is mounted, I am not quite so vain about my truck, its a truck after all. Of course I also have 6 ham radio antennas mounted the biggest weighs 18 lbs and will extend out 57 inches itself, not including I have it mounted 3 feet off the ground.

 

OP have you had any issues with law about your plate being to low or not visible enough?

 

What I did was bolt the Licence Plate to a couple Angle Brackets and then put a couple Tie Wraps through the holes in the Front Skid Plate Cover for a temporary fix until I got a Grill Guard put on.

Then as shown in my second picture I used Angled Galvanized Slot Steel like teamfast used on his.

 

Received my bracket today and installed in about 5 minutes. Shipping time from Hawaii to Alabama about 5 days. Could not have been easier . Thanks

I told salesman they'd keep my truck if they screwed into the bumper.
I made this up and went to the dealership and installed it myself, as a temporary holder.
Salesman said a Lady with a BMW saw it and wanted one
Heat Gun bent 1/4" PVC, cable tied to inner Aluminum Bumper.
Had plans to make a bracket for a future Avid Light Bar.



Ended up with this

I bought a Westin Sportsman Winch Mount Grille Guard (still needs a winch) so I ended up doing this...

 

Super late reply sorry but no issues withe the law on this. It still sits higher than most cars.

You guys are all doing it wrong. Having to have a front plate is a good excuse to get a front bumper that has a winch mount. Buy that and a winch with a roller fairlead. Then buy Maglite clips for D battery flashlight. The clips fit perfectly over the rollers on the fairlead.
