I know there are some older threads about this, but I wanted to document my experience.

I learned there is a station that sells no-ethanol 91 about 15 minutes from me. Price is $.20 higher than 93 w/ 10% octane here. Today I went and filled my truck (took about 16.5 gallons) and a can for the small engines.

Didn't notice a difference until I got near the top of the hill on the way back. The engine sounds significantly smoother. The Toyota tick is gone and I can't tell it's running when it's idling with the windows closed at a stop light. Don't notice a power difference, but I wasn't really pushing it either.

It'll take me a week or so to burn through this tank, but when I do I'll report back on what I get for mileage.

I usually run Shell or Mobil 93 (Be quiet, naysayers. If I run 87 my truck feels anemic and the engine sounds like something from the 1920s.), so I'll be interested to see if there's any noticeable difference.

Non ethanol is all i use in both cars, 2015 corolla and 2015 tacoma base 4 banger. In the past i have been able to get 3mpg more in the corolla with non ethanol, at 30 cent higher price it breaks even, i havent and wont use ethanol blend in my taco but with a 2012 taco 4 banger i got 1.5 mpg more and this is over a year of driving. I use a log book on each car and i have a good record of mileage and other expences you cant go wrong with it and you wont loose money.. Win win for me.

I wish it was an easier option for me. Unfortunately, that's the only station anywhere nearby that carries ethanol free fuel.

I will be curious as to what my mileage works out to. Power delivery seems the same, but it definitely sounds smoother.

Pure gas is all I run in everything I have, two vehicles, boat, tractor, chainsaw, and anything else, and MPG on my TACO is around 22 mixed driving and over 24 HWY. I haul mine in from over 80 miles away from Conoco, but it is well worth it.

There's an iphone app called PureGas that will show you where the nearest gas stations are that sell non-ethanol fuel. I won't put corn juice in my Tacoma either.

My taco ran smooth on nonethanol fuel....unfortunately, it's not convenient to fill up with it every week due to location. Do religiously use nonethanol in all my small landscaping engines and atv since the ethanol variations were rusting up my carb bowls.

I think that'll be the story with me too. All the non-ethanol stations are in the next state over. While I am relatively close to the border, I never go in that direction for anything else so it's out of the way.

Yeah, I've seen that. MA must have some law against it. There are very few stations in this state and the only ones are marinas and lawn equipment dealers.

After a couple tanks, I was getting about 1 MPG better than average. When I factor in the price difference and the drive to get it, it is not cost effective.

For now I'm back on Shell 93, but at least I know the difference. I do miss how smooth it was!

I just switched to non ethanol to try myself and I've noticed a smoother ride as well. It also seems like my fuel gauge isn't going down as fast as it usually does.

Str8 gas is all I run in my equipment (genny, saws, mowers, etc..) but I run ethanol in the truck just for convenience.
Tried str8 gas in the Taco, can't say I saw any particular difference.
