The 2016 TRD Sport that I ordered arrived at the dealership Friday and I picked it up on the weekend. I intentionally declined the Toyota weather / rubber mats knowing that I would be ordering Weathertech or Husky, but when I picked the truck up it had NO floor mats - not even the cheap carpet ones.

Is this normal, or did they just forget to send them with the truck?

Floor mats, even the cheap carpet ones, are like $150 or something ridiculous when added as an option.

Yeah. If you decline the mats then your car will not come with mats.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
I declined the mats 2 hen I ordered my truck. When the truck came, I got the mats. They told me they were not"able" to remove them. I didn't pay for them.

They " gave" them to me

If the window sticker shows it comes with floor mats, then it came with floor mats. As far as I know, every new vehicle comes standard with floor mats.

When you're using a phone and just trying to get a quick answer, you're right. It is. Why do you guys get so butt hurt about starting a new thread on an old topic anyway? Are we limited on the number of posts that we're allowed to submit and view or something?

The thread was started two weeks ago so it's certainly not old.

I'm definitely not butt hurt but having multiple threads about the same topic over the course of a short period of time just clutters things up. It's simply logical to keep posts about a single topic to a single thread. Rational though rarely prevails though.

You have to pay for the floor mats they are an option. The dealer usually lays the paper ones down on vehicles that don't have them.

I think you need to rerun your numbers...it's much higher. :D

To the OP, nope, you get nothing, kinda surprised me too that something cheap wasn't at least thrown in
on a 40k vehicle. I just tossed a small mat we had laying around in there until my Husky weather beaters
    were in stock.

Yes, and the fact that they get their feelings hurt when you suggest they search tells you all you need to know about why they struggle with rational.

You guys are cracking me up. Let me bring you all back to reality; you're on the Internet talking about trucks, and you're wasting more time and energy in complaining about a post then if you just ignored it and moved on. Meanwhile, I did very quickly get an answer to my question and now I am doing just that - moving on.

On another note, thanks to all of you that provided help instead of criticism. I just ordered some husky floor mats so I should be good in a couple of days, I just found it odd that the truck did not have any to start with.

The reality is you could have gotten your answer faster by searching instead of posting and waiting for a reply. Ignored.

It's normal when demand is greater than supply. At some point, this will be corrected and then dealers will have to compete for our business. At that time, you're dealer will be far more likely to give you whatever it takes to get your business.

I'm not holding my breath until that time comes. When the Canyon, Colorado, Frontier and Ford mid size pickup try to outdo one another, then finally we'll have competition. At that point, Taco customers might have the upper hand with dealers.
