I’m having a problem my 04 Tacoma headlights. No low or high beams when switch is turned on. DRL’s are functioning properly, and headlights work in the flash position. Fuses and relays checked good. I have 12 volts at body ecu connector green/yellow wire but 0 volts at the red/green wire and 0 volts at pin 13 of the switch. I’m thinking it may be a problem within the body ecu. Is there any way to test the body ecu to be sure? Any help troubleshooting would be appreciated.

I'm assuming you mean the 2 wires I have circled?
Did you check if the Red/Green wire had 0v at the Body ECU (1L Pin 14) as well?
The Body ECU should ground 1L Pin 13 (Green/Yellow) when 1L Pin 14 (Red/Green) is grounded.

Thanks Dm93. Yes, I checked those 2 wires at the connector attached to the Body Ecu. I have 12v at G/Y wire (1L pin 13) and 0v at R/G wire (1L pin 14) same reading with headlight switch in off or on position. If I disconnect the connector from the body ecu and put a jumper from 1L pin 13 to 1L pin 14 all lights work correctly. Am I correct in thinking the Body Ecu is not functioning properly and stoping the power from getting to 1L pin 14?

The Body ECU should ground 1L pin 13 when 1L Pin 14 is grounded, for some reason it looks like its not doing so.
I guess theoretically you could bypass the Body ECU by tying those 2 wires together but the auto headlight turnoff would no longer work.

Thanks for your help I appreciate it!
If I end up going the route of replacing the Body Ecu, do you have any idea if that is something that will need programming after installing or is it just remove and replace?

As far as I know it's plug and play, you just have to match part numbers.

I can’t seem to find a separate part number for the Body Ecu. Since it is located inside of the junction block (interior fuse panel) I’m guessing if I order the complete junction block it will come with it. Has anyone else run into this?

I don't believe it's sold separately from the fuse/junction block

Update: Problem resolved. I ended up replacing the Body ECU (fuse/junction-block assembly). Thanks for your help.
