AC works but I can't get heat. I've tried flushing the heater core, then flushed the entire cooling system, no help. Sometimes my fan won't come on and I have to "kick" the box under the glove box to get it to come on. But I've also noticed that nothing triggers the actuator to move the blend door so that the fan can blow over the heater core. So tomorrow I will take that off and try to move that track by hand to see if I then get heat.

Any ideas, tips, tricks? I've had this truck for 7 years and have only recently taken interest in doing all the work on it myself.

Does your HVAC control panel (knobs)……
Throw the air where it’s supposed to go?
    All fans speeds work?
    Cold/heat knob functions?

Is the cable still attached to the heater control valve? Does it open and close to allow coolant to flow into your heater core?

Is the heater hose hot on both ends?

    Blend door actuator functioning?

Blend door actuator and cable do not move at all...I unhooked cable to manually turn heater control valve and both inlet and out heater hoses were hot with the outlet slightly cooler

Today I'm taking off the actuator to see if I can mainly turn track that opens blend door and if I get heat I then know my heater core is fine

Might want to disassemble your center console to make sure the cable had not broke off the retaining tab behind the panel. Not common, but I'd seen it happen before.

As for the servo door, it's a common issue.

Update: just removed actuator and manually moved the track to open servo door and I have heat now!!!!

Been driving this thing for 3 winters now with no heat.....finally decide to put my head to it and figure it out fairly quickly.
