Ok I put a small hole in the hose, and let it bleed, little to no air came out of the hose, I revved the engine and it it shot a steady stream out of the hole, inlet hose is hot the outlet hose luke warm. No change in heat coming out of the vent, so I'm stumped.

    Thoughts ?

Does it take your coolant a long time to get to operating temp?

The temp gauge sits just a hair under half way, yes the hoses are hot .

Sounds like you have a lack of coolant flow through the heater core - either due to blockage internally in the core, damage to the water pump impeller, or incorrect plumbing of the heater hoses, which IIRC, you said you had checked previously.

Has any "stop leak" ever been used in the system?

I have to say it does sound like the core is blocked if the hose going in is hot and the hose going out is cold...

No stop leak has been used, I guess I'm gonna have to replace the core. Thanks for all the help and advice.

try flushing and back flushing the core one more time before you go and start tearing the dash apart

I have a new thermostat on my bench...haven't had time to change it but will this weekend...I have an OBD2/ doggle and the app on my phone forgot I had it. So I hooked it up and drove home today...According to the APP my Engine temp never got higher than 87 degrees which is the temp coming out of my Vents. The truck doesn't over heat and the needle is running in the normal range...not quite half way up....also my top radiator hose is Hose is the bottom is ice cold. So I'm assuming the T stat is stuck half way open. I'll update this weekend...

Is your App reading 87degrees Celcius by any chance? I find it strange that the temperature gauge is sitting in the middle once warmed up, and you should have had a P0128 code and a check engine light on by now if it never warms over 87 degrees Fahrenheit.

The bottom rad hose being ice cold indicates to me that the thermostat is indeed shut.

Not that it shouldn't be higher, but just curious where do you live and how far do you drive to-from work?
