Yeah you're warming it enough on that drive for sure.

Well I changed out the T stat ..No change, no heat...Can anyone recommend what to flush the heater core with...I just used the garden hose last time and plain water, should I disconnect the hoses to the core and fill it with a cleaner and let sit and for 30 minutes and re flush ??

    Thanks
    Steve-

Got it..Thanks...as far as the control valve goes from what I have learned there is not a control valve, coolant circulates constantly through the core and the blend door either opens or closes for Heat or A/C so I'm gonna verify it's opening all the way...

What you are looking for is the " Air Mix Control Servomotor ". Accessable from the passenger side floor area.

    Where the servos are located:

    How to test the servos:

Correct, there is no water control valve in these systems. The heater core should be getting full flow at all times the engine is running.

Disconnect both heater core hoses. And flush water in one end. Then back flush by doing the same thing through the other end. Do it a couple times. Then hook it back up and bleed the system like I mentioned earlier in this thread. You may have to bleed it a couple times

This. ^ Let the water run during each front and back flush. Last time I had to do this (on a Dodge) I ran the discharge hose to a clean 5 gallon bucket to see what came out. Turns out a mechanic had used too much silicone somewhere along the line. Took three tries, probably 20 gallons each time I flushed, on different days to finally get the cooling system cleared of that mess.
