So, I've been having trouble with rain and dew on my mirrors ever since I first got my Tacoma. I have no idea why is especially bad compared to the other vehicles I've owned, but none the less, it was very annoying. I would start driving to work, and wouldn't be able to see it off my mirrors until I was almost there.

Of course the ideal solution is heated mirrors, and eventually that's what I would like to do. There are a couple guys who sell wicked kits here TW. My only problem is I don't have the cash to drop on that particular mod (yet).

However! I've finally discovered a solution! It's cheap, easy, and you guys have probably all been doing it for years, but I thought I would mention it in case it helps somebody.

I put rain-X on my mirrors! Duh! So obvious why didn't I do this years ago?!

Now they self clear in a few minutes, and aren't nearly as bad to start with! A bottle of rainx is about $6 and will last a life time if you just do the mirrors.

So, if you didn't think about that like I hadn't, then there you go!

Here's a pic after a few minutes of driving after waking up to completely dew covered mirrors

I ordered a bottle of Duragloss Aquawax over the weekend, looking forward to trying it also. If it is better than Eagle One I'll be surprised. Because the description of Duragloss Aquawax does the same thing as the E1 Wax As U-Dry I have been using for 3 years now.

I've had heated mirrors on my 250 Lariat since I've been 16. I've only used them twice in my life. Never saw the purpose of heated mirrors. Not sure what they would do for moisture.

All the big rigs I run have heated mirrors. It dries out any fog, rain or spray on the mirror so you can see clearly. also, we get a lot of dew and frost on our mirrors/windows here, so the heated mirrors get rid of that pretty quickly as well. If you live in a dry warm region, they probably don't help you too much.

I'd say I wake up to fogged up mirrors 40% of the time here in BC

My last three F-150's all had heated mirrors. I never thought I'd need them, but once I did have them, I found them to be very helpful. Of course I live where we average 100" of snow each winter too. I do miss them on my Tacoma.
