I just bought my first Tacoma a few days ago. Its an 05' SR5, Access cab, V6, 4x4. Last night was my first night ride and I noticed that none of the climate control knobs were lit up. Can anyone tell me if this is normal and/or what my next course of action should be? I like to tinker and I imagine changing some bulbs or fuses would be easy enough for me... if thats the problem.

Has anyone figured out why they don't light up mine doesn't either. I've swapped bulbs too.

I swapped with more bulbs from another unit. I'll try getting new ones. Did you get them online or dealer?

Yeah tail lights still good I actually had to replace that fuse a day or so ago when I wired up my 4x4 illuminated board to the back of the 4x4 switch

Is there another fuse that could cause them to not light up?

Did you put any led bulbs in for your turn signal bulbs or anything? When I did that when i replaced all my bulbs it would pop the tail light fuse in the cab, and the climate control lights run off the same one. So everytime I would turn my lights on it would blow the fuse again.

Well the 4x4 led board is lit up which runs off that fuse because I tapped into the AC harness I'll double check the tails again right now

THIS.... I popped the "tail" fuse when installing my remote start, it's in the drivers side dash to the left of the steering wheel behind the little storage box. It powers the steering wheel controls, climate control and tail lights. If it's blown the tail lights work when you hit the brakes BUT DONT WORK WHEN YOU'RE JUST DRIVING AT NIGHT. This can be dangerous, and would keep you from winning any insurance money if you got in an accident so it's important to be sure that fuse is not popped.

The only way i discovered the fuse blew was when i noticed the climate control lights were out.

Well since I bought the truck I would always have to tap the climate control and they would come on but go off the next time the truck was started

That's a mod for the 4x4 knob lights? It looks great! How did you do it?

A guy on here sells them if you want the link I can give you it. He sells the stock color for 35 and custom color I think is 45. All it is is an LED board that you put inside the 4x4 switch and two wires and wire them to the AC wires
