In case anyone was curious, Apex and n-fab is possible. Because we all need more lights!

I bought these brackets along with a 30 inch light bar from a forum member and I do have to say, these brackets are worth every dollar, bolt right up and the fitment is 100%, super easy install and all you need to remove is the grille to get access, which takes less than 5 to remove, would definitely recommend these and love this stealth setup a lot!

Stupid question from an electrical novice here, but how do I connect the LED bar to the wiring harness? I think I have the grasp on how to install the harness but with just the black and red coming from the bar what do I need to do to get those wires connected to the harness (I'm assuming the green/female plug in)? I have a soldering iron and will be going to radio shack today to try to find whatever is needed.

I am a little confused here on what connectors you have. But yes red to red and black to black. If you have a Cali Raised 5D led and harness it should just be the grey plug. If you have their older 3D or 4D then it's just wires that need to be connected. I don't know of any green connectors?

Sorry for not being specific, I meant the green female end to the wiring harness. The red and black wires to the right are the only wires from the light bar. So my question is can I just cut this plug off the harness and solder the red to red and black to black - or is there something I need to connect to the wires feeding off the light bar to connect to the harness/plug with the green cap?

That's one way to do it and should work. Another option is to find either a matching male end for the female connection in the picture or find a new male & female end and switch out both the harness and light bar connections.

Yes if you wanna install today, cut the plug off and then you can connect the wires as mentioned. The plug is called a DT connector and you can source a female to put on your LED. Of you can buy any other style connectors and do that as well. Many options as long as red goes to red and black goes ti black, haha.

Finally got the light bar installed with the premium harness but must have did something incorrect. Everything works as it should however the mictuning button only lights up when the light is on. It doesn't cut on when the other switch lights are on (when headlights are on etc).

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
To me that sounds like you didn't place the add a fuse in the correct slot, or that the fuse is popped on the add a fuse itself. I have not added the premium harness switch yet, so I'm not sure which fuse you add it to.

That is like the case. Ill double check the fuse tomorrow. Which fuse are most adding it to on the third gen? I think I followed the directions on a second gen and the fuse placement may be different.

The magnets you have to glue on the light bar kept coming off.
They sent me a new set of magnets, let me try it again.

The switch has two levels of light illumination. One for when you turn your headlights on and all your other interior lights come on, and the other is when you turn the light bar on the actual light bar gets lit up on the switch. To get the switch to light up with your headlights you need to add a fuse to the appropriate fuse that gets power when headlights are turned on.
    Hope that makes sense.
