Torn between white and amber. I like to run my fogs all the time but don't want them to be too bright. Just not big on the amber color either. Would love to see a youtube comparison vid of the 2. Can anyone help?

Let me know how I can help you!

I wouldn't run the 18W 6000K white all day, people would be mad including the cops... Amber you might be able to get away with. Just know both are not DOT approved for road use. If you are using during bad weather I am sure there will be no issue, but every day use, I wouldn't do. These are an upgrade and brighter than stock.

Check out this thread, you can see pics of both. No vids though...

i had the displeasure of discovering my truck is not prewired for fogs so what exactly comes with your plug-n-play harness? i have been shopping for fogs for a while and really like this setup. here in va we are required to have our fogs turn off when our brights come on

You can buy dual lead harnesses off Amazon. This will allow you to wire them up directly to the battery. It won't have the feature of turning off when the brights are switched on but you can always hit the switch off. Anything more than that you or a pro would have to do some tapping into the stock harness. The plug and play is for those who already have fogs...

Check out my website, there is a pic of the back. When you take the factory fog out there is a 3/8" hole left from the mount. The long bolt goes through that hole and the nut keeps it in place. Very simple install

How easy are these to install if I'm a complete novice??

What's the watt output for the stock fog lights?

I drive to work at night on a 2 lane "highway" with no lighting what led light do you recommend? I'm not interested in the amber light.

The 05-11 mounts are super easy to install. The hardest part is taking out the factory light, but it's all covered in my instructions that come with the mounts.

The fogs in the 6K white color will intensify your existing pattern. They are 18W spots which are bright. They probably have a little less flood than your factory but they are brighter and shine further. It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish with these lights. If you want for lighting outword of the headlight pattern then some ditch light mounts with pods facing outward may be a better choice. Keep in mind these pods are not DOT approved for road use. If is bad weather or alone on a road I doubt you would have any problems, but driving down a busy road I would not have them on.
