No longer stuck in Riverside. Ratchet strap saves the day despite better judgement.

@Ambiguouse Do you have a prerunner TRD OR or just the stickers? Did you lock the rear diff when trying to get out?

Or at least bypass the ratchet mechanism, if that’s all you’ve got to work with, and just use the strap...

Haha no I'm saying he dropped the front tires in and since they are just dead weight, the rear spun until he couldn't back out.

But I'm fine with the 25mph solution as long as it's on video.

this is how people get hurt and die!! How stupid!!!!!

when I did the Miller Jeep Recovery I had asked the stuck OP for a tow strap because I would rather use his, he handed me a strap that had hooks on both ends. I said nope!

That’s what I have. And a shovel lol. Didn’t think that’s enough and still felt sketchy at some places. Still need to order some traction boards.

Lol they brought them ratchet straps because they were proabbly already laughing their asses off and wanted to see how worse it could get. Fortunately for the OP it ended up working.

Since hes out and safe...seems like this site should either have a section for people stuck or have it pinned on the main page. just a thought.

Typically you should post it in the region you are stuck in so the locals can help you..... or just go prepared for the worst and have a plan.

He said he dropped it down 12-15 psi, so I'm guessing it was eye-balled without a tire gauge and he was probably still running over 20 psi
