So... I'm at the dealership. I didn't realize until now that I had to order the mats separately.
So I have to buy them from their parts department. They were kind enough to offer a 15% discount. Is this reasonable?
You'd think with a TRD Dbl Cab OR LB 4x4 that it would at least come with the dang mats!

Consider it a courtesy since they'd end up in a closet somewhere once you discover Husky or Weathertech exact fit floor liners (I prefer Husky myself).

Mine had mats in it when I bought it but they had them listed as extra accessories and wanted to charge me more than they were worth. I refused to pay that much for them.

Most cars do not come with them for free, you have to pay extra for them.

The parts guy here at the dealership gave me a great deal. So that took some of the sting out of it.
Ask for Mike at Manhattan Beach toyota.

Nothings free, if they came with mats you'd be paying for them whether you wanted them or not. Much better to have them separate, that way you can choose what you prefer instead.

Another vote to get the Husky. I bought my truck a few weeks before the Huskys came out. Even knowing that, I didn't buy the factory mats. Drove around a few weeks with no mats. No regrets.

Only carmaker I know of that gives "free" mats, is BMW. A few years ago they raised all their prices by $200 and made mats standard. Toyota does not do that, with the exception of some special trim levels (like a Rav-4 SE) that have "special" floor mats as standard equipment.

The two absolute worst things about working in a car sales department: Floor mats and keys. They cause so much pain it's unfreakingbelievable

I had a 2016 taco 4 banger that I put weathertech mats in. In August I traded up for a 16 TRDOR that had carpet mets only. As I started to become slow in signing that good ole contract, not only did my sales guy go to the parts dept and get me all weather mats, then also through in Preditor side steps with no charge on either. To top it off they even let me take out my weathertechs out of the other truck. Gets a little better. They gave me 500 less than what I paid for the 4 banger and 1500 under MSRP on the new one. Despite the above they still made money and I feel I did ok too.

I made the mistake of buying the OEM mats when I bought my truck. Two months later I replaced them with weathertech.
