I’m *way* happy to be joining the Tacoma community! I got *so* sick of loading bikes on the roof of SUVs that we took the plunge on a 2011 Tacoma which had been part of the recall, and so has a new frame and assorted other bits. My wife suggested that it would feel much more like a truck if it was a stick shift, and so we have a six speed. How could I argue that? We are already hauling bikes, next boats and perhaps a tent on the roof. It is so great to just drop the bikes over the tailgate and take off. BMX bikes and road bikes just drop into the bed, of course, but our beloved mountain bikes ride so well with nothing but a pad. Now we will see if the teenagers can get the hang of a stick. If not, we get it all to ourselves :)

Oh, and how could I forget to mention that we got a dog to go with the truck! Or maybe the other way around, I’m not sure. Meet our boxer puppy, named Bird. She loves the Taco, too!
