What did you do to paint the chrome on the grille/surround? I want to do the same thing, but have been hesitant because its plastic. Did you just scuff and paint or did you take more steps? What paint did you use?

Well mikracer and yamaha Dave , I just scuff the crap out of it and put some primer and then painted it with a satin black. It looks good fresh but we will see how it will look in a few months. Next to dechrome will be the sides mirrors,

I used plasti-dip on mine. It's much easier and I believe will hold up better against chipping and stuff. It's only been there a few days so I can't speak for durability yet.

Yeah dip sounds good but I didn't look around for it and it was just some paint I have laying around, I might have to do that for the mirrors and door handles
