Wasn't 2014 the last year for regular cabs?

Glad I got my 13 when did, regular cab was perfect for me and my gf...never have to carry around annoying siblings or pickup people.

LOL! I even installed a center console and removed the "3rd seat" seat belt in mine. Im old school, I just like the looks of a reg cab...extended cab and 4 door trucks just look funny to me.

And off-road, the shorter wheel base will get you in and out of tight spots better, and will help avoid high-centering.

The regular cab going away was sad :( I wish they had the TRD off road without the rear seats in an access cab I'd buy one then lol.

People don't understand that a small truck has it's place in this world still. If people looked at trucks off days gone by, those were almost all regular cab. If you want to haul people get a car, SUV, or van. If you wanna have a vehicle for you to have fun in, maybe by yourself or with a friend, significant other, etc. get a truck. That's how it was, and it worked for a long time.

I'm keeping my regular cab forever.

As soon as I heard that they were being discontinued, I bought a '14 4x4 with bucket seats and auto trans. I love it...just like I love my '89.

When I want the comfort of a car, I drive my car. When I want a truck, I drive my reg cab. Worked for me the past 25 yrs. when I need to replace my reg cab and they are no longer manufactured, I just drive my car. To me, anything larger than a reg cab is a behemoth.

While I "semi" agree with this... I need a truck. But I also have a wife and daughter. We have a family car but the family car can not take us to some of the places we go in Colorado. Hell... it can't even get to the trail head in some places.

    This can

I too wish they wouldn't have stopped making the reg cab as there is obviously still a market place for it. But, I'm sure Toyota looked at the cost / benefit analysis and figured it was time for it to go.

I'm with you guys, I own a DCSB and wish I had a RC at times. It's simpler, easier to park, easier on trails... but some days you just need the interior storage space when (maybe just 2 of you) are on the way to the airport and you have luggage and an open bed... Being able to load up 4 people worth of luggage, 5 days of coolers and 2 kayaks for a weekend trip made the double cab completely worth it for that alone. I want an adventure vehicle along with a truck. Can't do much in just a regular cab when all of my friends just drive shitty little honda civics. Sometimes I have to be the one driving out of necessity

I just went from my rc to an access cab. I loved my reg cab but manual trans is a must and that bench seat and lack of center arm rest/consol and cruise control got pretty old with the miles I was racking up. It was fine for my daily commute, and I loved it off-road(stock offroad the regular cab had absolutely 0 issues, light, short wheel base, it was my mountain goat!)

I really do miss it and would have kept both if I could, I specifically wanted a regular cab when I got it. I just feel more comfortable and feel like I made the right decision when I jumped in to the AC

Sadly, getting a topper and sleeping in my truck bed is part of the reason I drive a Tacoma.....don't ask lmao
