No More Superchargers

Ordered my SC belt on Friday 15$, got it today. Now got to wait till the weather cools down.

 

^^^ there is a couple on eBay for under $8...I'm about to pick one up

 

I just bought a supercharger and fit kit today. According to the dealers, there are plenty of superchargers left on the shelves, but it's the fit kits that are virtually gone. Camelback Toyota helped me track one down in my region, and it seems as if it may have been one of the very few remaining available.

 

I dont understand why it has been a total bitch to track down fit kits. I grabbed one of the few remaining ones myself today. While I was at it I also figured that I might as well nab up one of those URD 2.8" stealth series pulleys for extra boozt. Install goes down this coming Sunday.

 

My dealershipt told me the same....I laid down my deposit last Tuesday. They called me the next day to let me know it would take them a little longer to track down the fit kit. .....that should hopefully be this Thursday/Friday. Then to the install.

ahhhhhhhhhhh! 10 days more to wait for me. curse this goddamn site. i didn't even know that a supercharger existed a month ago. suddenly i find it necessary to get one before the supply dries up

Fedex delivered mine today. Now to wait for install day...

 

Yea I went and picked mine up from Fedex since I kept missing their delivery. Was quite annoying.

 

I'm jealous of all these superchargers!

 

And here I am patiently awaiting for the actual supercharger portion of the setup to arrive on Thursday. The rest should arrive either that day or by Friday at least.

 

Oh yeah, and when I changed my belt last week I ended up using this Continental belt. I assume it's the same belt as the Goodyear Gatorback, just branded differently. It's still 4050705, looks identical. The old belt is pictured.

 

OKJC, i notice your intake is different than the other pictures. Is that a better kit or something?

 

Should I stick with the stock intake or is there a generally accepted upgrade for my SC?

 

That secondary charcoal filter is total bullshit. How does the purified air that we already breathe in need to be filtrated using a filter AFTER the primary filter itself? This is the first vehicle I have seen that uses that horse crap and in N/A form this vehicle just dumps a crap ton of unnecessary gas due to the stock pig rich tune. If they want to regulate the emissions, fix the tune, don't add unnecessary snake oil parts to it.
