I was tired of the issue I was having so I sold the truck. I had a 19 SR5 so everything fits that. I am trying to do everything Local if possible in or around Orlando but I will ship if the price is right. I will entertain all serious bids. And before you say it, yes I bought a 150 hahaha

New AVS bug shield/deflector - Sold

New Front license plate bracket - sold

Rubber bed mat - 6 ft bed mat. It can be cut for the shorter bed. I had the shorter bed but I never cut it. 70 dollars

If you don't mind me asking. What issues you had with the Taco? What did you replaced it with?

ITs alright I knew someone was going to ask. For me, it was 50 percent the truck 50 percent the dealer. I bought it new. I had the vibrating rear end. I had shaking since day 1 and I brought it back over a dozen times.

First, they said it was the tires, then the alignment, then they said the gap in the rear which is a known recall. From there it was the brakes and that is what they stuck with. They kept saying that due to my driving, which yes I am an aggressive driver, the brakes were not handling it. I brought it back 5 times where they told me they resurfaced or replaced the brakes. I traded it in with 25k on it and never in my life have I gone through brakes like that. The dealership got lazy and they finally told me that I would have to bring it to a regional rep to have it fixed. When I did that the rep read my report and drove the car for 1 minute before telling me it was the brakes as well.

So I said ok and upgraded everything. I used Duralast brakes in NY winters as a first responder and had them on a Frontier for 4 years with no issues. I had it on there for 500 miles and they said the brakes were still to blame. Mind you I was very patient through this whole thing and I kept saying I do not want any trouble I just want what I paid for which was a safe working truck. Well after the complaint with the BBB and Toyota directly, the dealership told them that it was me and they closed the case. SO I put up a very nice review on their google reviews and let everyone know how nice my 150 is hahaha.

I know this is long but as you can see it was a long year and a half ordeal.

Bummer story. Not a tacoma fan boy, although this is my 4th. I buy Toyota for the quality and resale. I would def go ford or chevy in your shoes as well. They have some damn nice looking trucks right now!
Good luck and thanks for being a first responder! God bless.

Thanks, Denteen. Ya, I wanted it to work out and I am more upset about the dealership then the car. But it is what it is. And thank you

Just curious, why didn't you go the Lemon Law route? In Florida its provisions kick in after 3 attempts by the manufacturer.

    1. Lawyer wanted 4 grand to take on the case. And there was no guarantee that I would be reimbursed.

    2. Toyota kept claiming different issues. When they would ask me to be specific I said the same thing but Toyota kept saying this and that.

    3. Under lemon law the dealer has the right to hold the car for 30 days for a final fix attempt. At which poi t the car would be examined and a third party would determine if it is fixed or not. From there Toyota would get another attempt if it is deemed a seperate issue from what they originally fixed and was complained about.

I was tired of dealing with it and the fact that 4g would probably fix the issue at any shop by replacing the whole rear end, but void my warranty. I just didnt want to deal with all that and I would have still been the loser who paid.

Pricey lawyer for a simple matter! Ive had that issue with Lexus and Volvo and the manufacturer usually wants to get rid of the issue ASAP. Anyway, hope you didn't get slammed too badly selling it.

Haha exactly. And no with this pandemic they have great deals at most manufacturers. I'm only paying 30 bucks more a month and have to hold onto the truck for 4 years to not be under.

Honestly it is what it is at the end of the day.
