I like doing simple fixes and mods to tweak things closer to ideal.
I will continue to do this and keep it to my group of friends.

You do realize that the engine compartment is open on both the bottom and the front? (Next project for you?) In the rain, the engine fan is continuously spraying water throughout.

Over sealing a heat engine can cause unintended consequences, such as overheating electronics. Gaps are often designed to intentionally move fluids as intended. Just sayin'.

I get a real feel of fluid motion under the hood after wheeling with the spray that the fan kicks around.

    LoL! Cheers!

I was surprised back in the day when MFGs started putting serious electronics under the hood, beyond simple relays, and was completely floored when our turbo Subaru had three ECUs out in the open, right above the right heads and next to the the top mount I/C.

When moving, air goes out the bottom, but idling on a hot day while electric fan isn't running . . . Gimme all the fluid flux. Haha!

I think it’s a good idea to take into consideration. Thanks for the tips. Let us know how things go and if the intended benefits last or if you see problems. This is how things get better. I also appreciate the wisdom from others stating the cons. Thanks TW community :)

Maybe a good idea if one has the time and inclination....I do on the time, don't on the later.

My German cars also have a bunch of weatherstripping and panels and shielding to try to close off the engine compartments. Which means when shit gets in there, it’s a bitch to get it out.

I have learned the character of the majority of commenters and it takes much more time to post something that some may find useful or thought provoking than being snarky. My time and effort is a limited resource that I will use more judiciously.

Ill have you know, i post useful AND snarky things. Its the best of both worlds. From stitching the steering wheel leather cover on, Installing ECG bushing, Stereo mic install in stereo bezel, Suspension install, Sound deadening and much more. Anyone can feel free to reach out if my truck has a mod you want, i did everything but the regear.

Guy on the right looks malnourished. I recommend protein in his diet with less soy and kale chips.
