No need for Loctite

    Toyota engineers did not recommend the use or need for any loctite. Most torq specs are for dry threads, as soon as you put any liquid (loctite, anti-seize, butter, ....whatever) it is now a lubricated thread. This is a common path to over-torque troubles.

    Actually, depending on the application - they do. Rule of thumb (at least for me), only apply if called for in the service docs.

    This is just one example (transfer case) of where they do mention it,
