No offence, but is this whole ‘TRD’ thing stupid?

Truth, I'm not suggesting stock stuff is going to be the same as a 4.5" like that. But the truck as a whole really isn't some wild one-of that the average buyer couldn't duplicate either and a 2.5" King/FOX/etc with remote reservoirs isn't bad at all.

Gotta remember that this is a Tundra we're talking about and I think a 3" shock is probably going to get a work out on washboard roads coming back from Home Depot in that big thing. So jumping to a 4.5" body on that isn't as out there as it seems.

Well... if I could imagine anyone making sure they did not spill either of their margaritas while running from a raptor while getting a sip from one, it would Jimmy! Priorities!

I just went and looked at a 2018 off-road and they want to charge 400 bucks for the blackout kit that you can get online for 100 bucks. Dude earlier was right on that Toyota Revenue Development.

in the mid 80s, SR5 was a trim package. Mostly, it meant cloth bucket seats instead of the default vinyl bench seat

Sr5 is sport rally 5. It meant blah blah blah+ 5 speed. Over time it gradually changed...”sr5 means you get this little chrome bit here” etc. until finally it morphed into something inconceivable. An sr5 withOUT a 5 speed. Jesus it’s like I’m living in the twilight zone. Toyota calls my truck an Sr now.

oh yeah, 5 speed. my friend's 83 yota coffee can was a 4-speed w/ vinyl bench. they finally sold it last year after 33 years. totally rusted out even in central California's mild weather.

it probably all started with the celica or something lol.

something for ricers to make them think they are racers when they're just cunts. Or maybe at one point it was racing based but not anymore.

Now days its just their way of having a fancier line. Something to charge you more for and label different for the sheep.
I really don't care what they call it whether its off road or trd off road just keep the locker, or even better add a front locker as well.

Nope, my SR5 is really more aerodynamic, and hence faster than the TRD Sport, methinks...

I agree. Plus you can see things on the road.

    Like a shoe. For instance.
