I just got my truck recently with dealer tags for now...I was just wondering if I can just leave those tags and keep/hide my actual license plate on me...I'm in Cali and higly doubt that I can do that for a while but what's your guys' opinion?

Don't your dealer tags have an expiration date a month from the day you bought the truck? Just asking for trouble not displaying your tag. Hell you can get a ticket here for not displaying your sticker on the tag. It doesn't matter that you have them with you. You trying to hide from someone?

Dealer tags or temp tags?? Cause driving around on dealer tags is apparently legal (Dealers do it all the time)...but temp tags usually have an expiration...or expire upon the arrival of your real tags.

It sounds shady to ask about not put your proper legal tags on when you get them...

Take some pictures of your temp tag next to your legal tag so we know which we like better.

Aren't the temp tags just pieces of paper in a dealer plate outline? I'm kind of confused why you would even want to do this. :notsure:

Mostly stock for now, I have added a cb radio, various cheap mods and I plan on adding aftermarket wheels and other items in the future.
Just put the license plate on your truck.....front and back like you're suppose to do, and like everyone else. Follow the rules and don't break the law...thanks.

When two license plates are issued by the department for use upon a vehicle, they shall be attached to the vehicle for which they were issued, one in the front and the other in the rear.

Just put your plates on. A vehicle without plates gains more attention from us law enforcement types, not less.
