It's only an oversight if it causes a sales issue (or lower bottom line) to the TM bean counters...

I like having power seats but, it wouldn't change my purchase choice (same with rear disc).

Yah man I'm totally with you on the power seats. Hell while we're on that topic, dual climate control...get rid of it...why do you need that when you have two windows to open and close when needed? Speaking of windows, power windows phhhtttt.....go back to crank, less to break. Damn it in my day we didn't even have power steering or an electronic ignition. Just more shit to break. Toyota please get rid of that as well. I could write on and on....

Yah, now I'm going down to the dealership and pay me $40 K for one of those 3rd gens...

Manual seats are fine by me, but I sure do wish I had a power rear window...

Fair enough. And to be honest, of all the power features my Tacoma's and Chevy's have had, the adjustable seat is the only major failure. I'm glad the Tacoma's don't have power seats.

    I totally agree....
If you would've asked me 10 years ago, I wouldn't care. I couldn't afford it anyway.

Now?? It's ridiculous that a $40,000 vehicle doesn't have power seats (among other things). It's frustrating that Toyota doesn't offer a wider range of options that are available in EVERY truck configuration.

I'll admit it......I am currently researching Colorado/Canyons. In particular, the Canyon Denali. I will be researching and test driving all of them (including Toyota). I'm hoping to have a new truck next spring. Yes....I worry about reliability & resale. I figure....I have 3/36 time frame to be impressed (or not). I won't hesitate to kick it to the curb.

I'm predicting that Toyota will make these options available over the years as the 3rd gen gets older. They've gotta have something to make them more attractive after the dust settles and to carry over their sales numbers until Gen 4.

I believe that the non power seats is an oversite on Toyotas part. Once youve had good quality seats (powered) then you would appreciate having them . I also believe that it should be an option available in most models not just the limited

I would not wish such a thing on my worst enemy. Tell them to buy a GM product. Shame on you!

    Thanks Kyle for catching that.

Yeesh, if Janster is saying she's considering a GM Twin then things are serious. You've been a Tacomaworld long term vet! o_O

The thing that blows me away about the Go Pro mount is Toyota doesn't even have a $2 cable run to power the camera when its mounted.

Talk about a cheap a$$ gimmick.

Yes and the sad thing is that I would consider buying a Ford to replace my Tacoma......gawd I've really hit rock bottom.

    Thanks Toyota.....

I read somewhere that power seats wernt an option due to how low the seats are n the truck in order to create ample headroom.
No idea if thats true or not.

On the Limited a memory option should also be available. I have at least a foot on my wife and she has the seat so close to the steering wheel that I literally cannot get in the vehicle before making an adjustment.

    LOL
I know....believe me, I know. That's why I'm so frustrated with the options & such. I'd been drooling over the 2016 for months. Just being honest.

Who knows....I'm researching. It might boil down to a test drive and/or feel, etc. I won't be taking this lightly by any means. Not only that, but seeing the issues (threads) popping up on the 2016's is something else to consider.

Vehicle buying shouldn't be this hard!! And maybe I'll say TO HELL WITH IT and keep the ol' 2007 longer!! LOL

Don't forget it's s truck and a Toyota. Powered seats are least priority. Now if you're talking like gmc Denali. Yeah a truck like that should have powered seats.
