I would have ordered a Limited power seat or not if available in USA with a 6 foot bed. 6 foot bed available in Canada in LTD trim but not USA and they (Canada) cant get the LTD with a 5 foot bed......

So Ill give you an insight on what toyota was thinking when not putting in a power seat. Attending the Tacoma Lauch and speaking witht he developers, I learned that after many focus groups and many surveys they took the word of the majority. The type of people that buy the truck, the demographic. Power seat was near the bottom of the list of priorities wanted in a truck. They figured they could save weight and cost to put into other features. Youre right when we say, cant they just make it an option in the truck, or whatever. Yes but then they have to weigh the cost of changing the production line to the cost of what customers they "might lose" over not having a power seat. Given the past generation they figured..... not worth it. Plus someone mentioned in here that they will probably release on future model years, which is true, they alway need something to make it better. Anyways, that my 2 cents, I am indifferent to the idea of power seat. Cool if it had one, no skin off my back that it doesnt.

I could care less about power seats, nice but not a deal breaker.
I would much rather have a power rear window.

My car has 14 way power seats. My wife and I each have the driver's seat dialed in to perfection and quite different from one another. If I unlock the car with my key, the seat automatically adjust to my position and same for her. It's quite a convenience. The main diffenece between these seats and manual seats are the number of ways they can be adjusted. There's much more to a comfortable seat position than being able to move the seat forward or backward.

I agree I would rather have the power rear window like the Tundra then power seats.

How about a manual seat with manual height adjustment... you know like Toyoda offers on the Yaris...

Toyoda message to its customers: F$$k You!!! gimme your $40,000.00...

Actually this is what customers are saying to Toyota:

considering how much people are willing to fork over for a new 2016

Yes, like the Go Pro mount. Sure the focus groups were clamouring over getting that in the 3rd gen

Yeah, the GoPro can video all the new Tacoma owners sitting awkwardly in their circa 1958 Volkswagen bug seats after happily writing a check for $40,000.00....

    Exactly.....

Entire seat moves backward & forward, seat back moves back-n-forth, lower part of the seat can pivot down or upwards, entire seat moves up & down and power lumbar too.

Not that I travel a lot in the truck, but I know how convenient & comfortable it is when driving long distances in other vehicles..... Once you've had power seats, you really don't want to go back! When you get older - the body isn't as 'forgiving' to uncomfortable seating positions. ;)

The limited seats are pretty comfortable. If i had a slight issue it would be that the steering wheel has very small adjustments positions. Everything has been great so far with the truck.

What do you dislike about the shocks? Just curious. Does it bounce too much or not enough? I also have a limited but only have 100 miles so just getting familiar with the driving characteristics.

The power allows for much finer adjustment. The manual only snaps in to a few pre-cut notches in the track. Speed is not of concern to me, but fine-tuning is.

Should put back the manual choke too, just like my 77 Civic had.

Maybe the 2017's will offer the manual "Yaris seat upgrade option" above and beyond the JBL - NAV package... MSRP $42,000.00...

10 years to get heated mirrors so tell your customers the 2026 Tacoma's will get power seats. Only one electrical upgrade per decade.
