Hey yall recently made a post about my abs and stability control light being on after installing a lift, thought it was either a sensor the harness itself or the VSC needed to be reset. took it to my buddys shop today to take a volt meter to make sure it is getting power and no power is coming at all to the right abs. however the left is getting power. if it was the harness in the wheel well I could replace it no problem. however since we traced it all the way back to the main harness I'm not sure what to do or what could have caused this?

we checked the wire and it didn't look to be stretched, but even when we checked the power coming directly from the engine it read no power. wouldn't it just be on the lower harness if it was stretched? like wouldn't we still have power from the main one?

I'd think you'd only have lost current after the section where it was stretched/broke internally but ABS stuff is weird. Does it have separate fuses for left and right ABS? I doubt it does but once again, ABS stuff is weird.

I checked both fuses for abs and they were fine, that does make sense however. I can get the harness for around 40 bucks I may replace that and cross my fingers and hope for the best, what just got me is how there was no power right at the engine

How far back up the line do you have to probe to get power? All the way to the main harness?

If you find the broken spot, just butt-connect it for now and see if you get power down at the sensor.

it stops power right at the engine, right where it comes from the engine harness

Peel back the insulation and try to find the break.

having the same problem, replaced the whole harness. ABS light is now off, but stability control is still on. Let me know if you find anything. I'm taking mine back to Toyota.

Is it the VCS light? If so, have you read the sticky on how to reset it?

that and the pre collision system malfunction are still flashing. cleared all of the codes after the new harness and everything looked good. When I cranked up to leave those two came back on.

OK If you are "SURE" you are on the same wire at both ends - Jumper where you have the power through a temp wire to next to the sensor. If it now works - make the wire permanent. IF it does not fix it - you probably have the wrong wire and you need to trace back again

I'm going to order the harness and replace it but before that I'm going to wipe it and reset it I found a pdf on how to clear it with a scanner and if that fixes it I won't use the harness and get my money back, and if not then I'll try the harness and cross my fingers :fingerscrossed:

I had mine recalibrated at the dealership today. That cleared everything up. These new trucks are almost over engineered if you want to change anything with them.

So what ended up happening here? I have no power to my passenger side rear abs sensor. Not sure if it's the harness or what.
