    Hey y'all!
I need some guidance on where to look for blown fuses under the hood or other things to check. I don't have power going to my OBDII port, but I have checked it on multiple scanners that have worked on different vehicles. I checked the fuses in the cab; they were all good.

I'm trying to get codes because the check engine light came on. I ended up getting a new battery, and they cleared for a bit, then came back on. I thought it was just an O2 sensor or mass air flow sensor that needed cleaning but then it has been doing a weird thing where the idle cuts off suddenly and almost stalls or occasionally does. So after I first start it (it's fairly cold here in MT so I warm up the vehicle for a few minutes to get the cab defrosting) it idles normal but cuts in and out of high idle down almost killing the idle.

I'm trying to get codes to figure out why it's doing that. Any help on these issues would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Did some research on fuses and found that fuse #16 under the hood goes to the OBD port. I checked that fuse (7.5 amp) and turns out it was fried. I went to my local parts store. Got an emergency fuse kit, took out the 7.5 amp and replaced it. Viola, OBDII port now works.

On the way home the scanner gave me a P0172 code. "Bank too rich" or something like that. I looked it up here and it gave me advice here:
    • Toyota / Lexus – Contaminated MAF, usually with aftermarket filters. The reasons for this correlation aren’t clear, but many Toyota hotwire MAFs are particularly susceptible to contamination. Cleaning isn’t usually successful. Discard the old MAF and engine air filter. Clean the air box and install the new MAF and air filter, preferably using OEM parts, making sure that the air box seals properly.
This all makes sense as the outlet of the airbox that connects to the MAF and is the air intake is broken. I have the part on order and it should be here on Tuesday. Hopefully, with a new airbox and cleaning the MAF sensor, all these problems go away. I posted all this in case it helps someone else in the future.
