I currently have a 2" lift, 1" spacer, and a positive offset wheel (Tundra stocks) that is 17x8.5 and I want to upgrade to 17x9's but don't know if -12 or 0 offset is the right choice. I plan on taking away the spacers as well but keeping the lift but I wanted to get a second opinion on which would be the best fit so I don't rub (I am rubbing currently due to the positive offset of my wheels).

    What size tires?

Where are you getting rub? Fender, frame, control arm?

I believe it is the upper control arm but I am not 100% sure here's a photo that may help. Let me know if you need any more information, I am new to this truck stuff. IMG_5953.HEIC.jpgIMG_5959.HEIC.jpgIMG_5957.HEIC.jpg

0 offset... still might have to trim plastic and the cmc/pinch weld if offroading.

Your first photo tells part of the story: you are rubbing on the upper control arm. Your tires are too close to the UCA so you need either a bigger wheel spacer, different UCAs that give more clearance, or different wheels that move them further away (or a combination of a couple of these things).

This also is true. Depending on a combination of OP's tire size, wheel offset, and alignment configuration you may rub in other areas too. If these tires are 33's or bigger then yeah CMC, pinch weld, inner fenders, etc. are all possible interference points. Can't tell from these photos, and OP didn't specify tire size so we have no idea. I'm guessing these wheels are the typical +30-ish offset and just too close to the UCA.

I appreciate the input, very helpful, and I am loving this website. From what I know the wheels are +30ish and I have a 1" spacer. The tires I have on now are 285/70R17's and I plan on keeping this size of tire, nothing bigger. Also, I am interested in getting 17x9 Fuel wheels that have a 0 offset and keeping these tires, with the offset change is it likely to rub the same or less on the UCA?

Did you end up going with the 17x9 w/ 0 offset? Thinking of going with the same fitment on some 285’s but unsure if I’ll contact the UCA’s.
