i just got a set of blizzaks for my 2011 TRD Sport. I didn't get the new wheels equipped with tire pressure sensors since........well, they're just snow tires.

Now I have that bright yellow icon shining in my face 24/7. My OCD is on full tilt.

Is there a way to turn the light off besides my usual trick of liberal applications of electrical tape?

    Cheers!

One way would be to buy/install sensors and have them calibrated.

OCD can be expensive. It's why I gave mine up. :D

    Not a big deal..

I have the light on because of my winter setup.. It's a reminder to us people with common sense that the majority of people just don't have it.....

Before summer, I'm going to get the stock wheels and tires cracked open and remove the sensors.. I'll make a pressure tube and stuff it in the rear storage box.

Those things are brittle.. Rubber stems all the way.. Doing the same with the wife's Corolla in the spring...

Getting ready to pull the trigger on new tire/wheel pkg from DTD...online from AZ

Having them install sensors in the new aftermarket wheels is $25 per wheel.....$100 xtra

Called my local tire shop & inquired about the cost to program new sensors.....1/2 hr labor rate...about $50

Going to tire shop anyhow for alignment with new rubber...already added new front 5100 Bilsteins.....

The other question.....any insurance liability probs for NOT having sensors installed ?

Only your agent can give you the right answer to that question.

Do you have inspections? Is it an inspected item? That will be a clue.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
I saw a add-on kit at Wal-mart today for -I think 79 bucks --came with 4 sensors and it's own receiver.
