My local dealership just got their first 16. I swung by for a quick look, I want to sit in one with a sunroof but it was a trd or with no tech package.

They had it parked right next to a 15 off road too. As I was leaving I noticed that the 16 didn't have the front skirt on it. I may swing back by to take a pic of it...

As it's been stated in other threads, I've noticed with the online tool builder the changes in mpg for the off road depending on location. At work, my location defaults to our corporate headquarters in slc, and I'm in Conn.

Looking at it again, I think your right. On the online builder it doesn't show the skirt on the off road. I hadn't noticed that anywhere before...

But here is the diff between slc and me

17/20 is the MPG of the 6MT 4x4.
19/24 is the MPG for the 6AT 4x2.

The configurator gets confused when you change locations without starting over. If the config you had set up isn't available in the new region it assigns something that it decides is close.

I think his question is, why take the skirt off, when you can rip it off, that's how you tell if shes kinky :yay:

I don't really get the hate on the dam. Toyota claims it does not decrease approach angle which separates it from every air dam out there.

It does reduce approach angle. It gives the offroad a bit more clearance. It still has a better approach angle with the skirt than any of its competitors.

Our buddy Mike sweers has been asked the same question directly and gave the same answer
