So I just got my 05 double cab taco with the jbl system back from the mechanic after a few weeks and the stereo appears to be working, but there is no sound coming out of it no matter what I do. It has a Pioneer AVH-P3200DVD deck in it. I talked with the guy and he said that the battery died on it, but other than that he never touched anything electrical in it. I'm pretty much stumped... Think it could have blown a fuse or something?

Yes the volume is turned up, the mute is off and so is the att.

I revved it up and dropped it into gear and it snapped a bunch of teeth on the ring gear in the rear end so I had to get the rear gear and pinion replaced.

Does the radio require a code?

Some stereos need a code as an anti theft device. Usually its hondas, and factory radios. But you never know.

Is the faceplate on all the way?

Ah I see. I don't think it requires a code. Everything about the deck appears to be functioning fine, except that there is no sound from the speakers. The deck even makes the normal little beep sound (I believe its from an internal speaker in the deck) when you use the touch screen.

It is working now. Don't ask me what was wrong but apparently the trick was to take the backseat apart, not to touch anything, just look at it. haha. I took it all apart and was looking at the sub and amp and decided to turn the pickup on to see if maybe only the sub was working and when I tried it everything worked. so I put it all back together and it is still working.

Before I tore it apart I checked the fuses under the hood and both were fine, so I don't really know what the deal is, unless a clip on the amp was slightly loose an my prying on the back panels reconnected.

As a side thought hopefully there isn't a short under the floor somewhere that I just happened to unshort, but I had the stereo playing the whole time it didn't burn down yet.
