    Alright
    Sensor arrived
    Easy install
Definitely easier to start(only 6 turns of ign cylinder)
    Touch throttle, still dies
    Threw P0110(air temp sensor again)
But got better much faster than before the new sensor was installed
I.E. could rev engine fully in 20 -/+ seconds instead of waiting for operating temp (8-10 mins)

Guessing ecm learning bc now has good signal from sensor(????)
    Cleared code too

b4 the taco warmed up, I shut her down

Will try again when she cools down

    Update

she starts much easier but not as in the past
Took drive, no problem, no hesitation, good power
Got back in neighborhood, popped P0115
    The ECT code again!
Cleared twice, pops immediately after the clear

    coolant good (rad level)
    Coolant good((reservoir level)

    And
I discovered that if engine running, my crappy OBD reader does have limited “realtime” data…….

    Coolant temperature shows 284?
    Intake temp 113?

like DM93/speedytech stated, points to ECT sensor
But she doesn’t start when ECT pigtail unplugged?

im going to try unplugging ECT sensor again….
    When she cools down

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Yeah that coolant temperature sensor is toast. That's a fully maxed out reading it's open circuit

That's why I wanted to see live data, unplug the sensor and see if it goes to -40.

If it does we have a sensor problem, if it doesn't then we have a wiring or PCM problem.

The old ECT was broke if I remember correctly. Was the new one OEM? Had to ask.

    Nope!

    AAAAHHHHHHHHH

    6 months old
    Under warranty
    Just returned it (Vatozone)
I’m buying the $50 Delphi one (with $23 credit)

I’m a glutton for my AM punishment
    Nobody to blame but myself.

let everyone know what happens when installed
