I just replaced my head gasket on my 2010 2.7 and it won’t start. Sometimes I can get it to start for a second but it dies right after and just cranks. I’ve checked everything multiple times and Ive even replaced coils packs, spark plugs, crank sensor, and throttle body. And I am still getting the same results. I am stumped this 10 hour jobs turned into a 2 weeks job.

Have you confirmed you are getting fuel flow at the rail?

All your sensors plugged in? I've had similar issues when I forgot to connect the MAF in previous vehicles.

Sounds like the mass air flow sensor isn’t plugged in all the way, or it’s fuse is blown

I would double check the wire harness grounds on the back of the cylinder head are in place and secure. Also check the back driver side of the intake manifold, there is a ventilation hose that may not have been plugged in and you might have a big time vacuum leak.

Are you sure you got all the engine grounds hooked up? Someone else had a similar problem after engine work and they had missed a ground wire.

I only took the 2 grounds off on the back of the head and they are both there tight

Fuel lines hooked up correctly? It seems like someone one time somehow got the supply and return hoses swapped on a 2.7 resulting in a no start.

This a solid point. I’ve hooked mine up backwards on more than one occasion and it won’t run. Very easy to mix up on the 2TR bc the lines are the same length roughly

Here’s how mine are routed for reference.

I wouldn't be concerned about that for a no start.
Do you see RPM on your scanner while cranking?
Will it run for a bit if you spray some carb cleaner in the intake?
