No throttle response till 2/3 to the floor

Be nice to know if can be backstepped into an 02 with just TB and ecm swap

probably cant be that lucky.....someone will try it .....eventually, they wont have a choice....


thanks to your added pics.....we can now see its not a electromechanical failure....
its feeding thru that shaft operating butterfly...

So thats extra info going to the ecm.....
will that same harness work without that plugged in and the older ecm....

bet the non US Hi-lux's dont have this.......some epa thing here...
maybe the reason you cant get the part even thru hi-lux channels

Ok found a new part see pic, it is oriented the same as mine which leads me to think the issue is somehow in the TB.

 

I’m sure it would be possible to swap back to an earlier TB but as you probably know salvage yards are so gentle with harnesses

 

Ok crazy idea, maybe clock the part 45 degrees.

 

It is drive by wire, with a mechanical limp mode.

 

First thought, the throttle body is functional again. The part number is 22030-62020 I got it from Amazon. Once I have driven the truck some I will update again.

wish I could find the parts for the electric motor and gears for the TB cause I’d love to rebuild the whole damn thing.

 

I would just pony-up the whole oem......

OMG!! Finally someone is making this partafter market!! That is ther part that causes all the problems with the throttle bodies, forcing you to by the complete throttle body new. I've been round and round with this issue. I've even contacted some part manufactering companies about it. ( Standard Motor Products, Baldwin and Wells companies )

 

There's no much to wear out inside. It's all pretty robust.
