    I think it doesn't matter which Truck he tests drives. He won't like it. He's not a truck guy.
    Has anyone ever driven a Mazda M6?

    Not trying to be a smart a$$, but drive some trucks. I mean drive them all. Full size, midsize, ridgeline (just puked up in my mouth, but it may be for you).

    A truck is going to drive differently, unless you get a ridgeline, which is based on a car.

    If you didn't like the sport you will definitely not like a 10 year old taco and to be honest Tacoma's keep their value like no other, especially in their sized market at this time.

    A 10 year old taco will ride even more bouncy (truck like).

    Ask yourself, 1. Do I need a truck 2. Do I want a truck 3. What will I use for? 4. Would it be better to rent one every other year? 5. Can I deal with the reduced gas mileage?

    No offense, not trying to rub you the wrong way. But it is hard to believe your head doesn't hit the ceiling in miata, but does in a taco.

    subarus are perfectly fine cars, better than Tacos in many regards. I don't fault him for wanting to buy a Tacoma then, finding it not his cup of tea, opting out.

    Lol.. I daily a dropped coupe on KW's atm. It's loads of fun but I'm in the market for a DD that's higher and has more suspension travel for a reason.

    All these comments about ride and truck guy vs not truck guy come down to simple physics. It has nothing to do with 3rd gen vs Xgen. Trucks are designed to carry a load in the bed. The suspension must be able to handle ~1000lbs in the bed. Your SUV/CUV/Car/whatever you have been driving is not able to carry that load. In order to carry that load the suspension must be beefy and stiff enough for the truck to handle driving down the street with that additional 1000lbs without resting on the bump stops. Which means that unloaded the truck will have a more bouncy rear end as it is missing 1000lbs it is designed to carry. And a truck it is inherently light out back with a pickup bed, in addition to a poor unsprung weight ratio running a heavy solid axle under a light bed. To top it all off it is running leaf springs. An SUV will run IFS in the rear, with soft coil springs rated to only carry 100s of lbs with a far superior unsprung weight ratio and a more balanced body weight distribution while also having more weight over the rear axle. Trucks will lose this ride battle every single time, as they should.

    Have to agree with the post. I drive a 2008 Tacoma sport, and at 6'1 I also hit my head on side of 2016 moonroof. So disappointed as I love my 2008, and wanted a new one with all the bells and whistles. It is all about the torso length as some at 6'3 say they fit just fine with the seat reclined back a bit. I do fit fine in the non-moonroof model. Still not as much headroom as my 2008. Please Toyota...at least offer vertical height adjustment in the limited models!
    Now trying to decide with going without the tech package (moonroof) or just going to the big boy truck (Tundra)....hard to decide.
