picked up my 2016 TRD sport today. It's loaded with every option. Well except tow package. Ugh. If I order a OEM hitch. Is the wiring run to the back? Will the hitch from gen2 work? Any info would be great. I'm dumb founded that for almost 40grand it didn't have it

There are a lot of other things missing you get with the tow package, Heavy Duty Alternator and transmission cooler comes to mind.

Yes it is but when I asked the dealer about it when reserving the truck they said all Sport packages come with it!! Guess they were wrong. They are suppose to let me know next week if they can get the whole setup
    For it

Would you like for me to pay the sales person a visit, possibly choke them out? They lied to you, someone should pay somehow. Let me know.

Misleading title. Can't be a "fully loaded" vehicle if a major option wasn't included.

According to toyota´s website builder, at least in my area, any P&T package shows tow package included. Someone messed up. I would make them build me another truck.

my build sheet under standard features does not list tow package. tow package shows up under MFG suggested base price below that is the tow package $650. looks like it is a stand alone option?

For almost $40,000 I'd return it and get what you want. If it doesn't bother you or you never tow then keep it and enjoy. I'd say it's no big deal. But, for that price I'd honestly get what you want.

Guess yours isn't 4x4??? Because when I bought mine I didn't want the tow package and told my sales lady to take it off the list. She told me all 4x4 comes with it Standard. I mean who buys a truck with 4x4 and don't tow anything or recover a buddy from the pits.

Yup. It's kinda like a builder building a house for you with garage doors.... but leaving out the door openers.

Why accept the truck if that what you wanted and ordered? If you did accept the truck then .....

All the trucks sent north of the border come with the tow package. If mine shows up without it I won;t accept it nor give them a dime. No worries I am confident Toyota will come through.

Off subject but this is total bull crap too. Building a house now and they didn't include garage door openers.

No shit?! Tell your builder this isn't the 1950's anymore, include the operators with your doors. :(

I haven't read the entire thread but, a few dealers told me the same "they all come with it" come to find out, they were referring to the tow hitch. NOT the alternator, cooler..etc.
