Thought of another question while I'm waiting on my parts to arrive. Today I removed my skid plates under the vehicle in preparation, and noticed the fittings on my radiator for the trans cooling lines already look very similar to the Insta-dapt adapter that comes in each kit from Derale. If the hoses in their kits fit onto my factory fittings on the radiator, I think I can skip the installation of their Insta-dapt adapter...? Yes?

to satisfy my curiosity does your motor have an engine oil cooler and/or the HD "green" fan clutch?

TRD used Hayden oil coolers. Just an overpriced trd part.

Mine has the green fan clutch. And a separate radiator in front of the main radiator. But I thought the tow package also included a larger alternator too? It came with a Reese tow hitch when I bought it from the 2nd owner. Now I have a rear TG bumper. I have the stock rear bumper and Reese tow hitch just laying around. Also the front bumper laying around too. Both lunar mist.

I don't know where/if it has an engine oil cooler. Where would I look? As far as the green fan clutch, I think so....?

But I thought the tow package also included a larger alternator too? nope

GREEN hub is OEM heavy duty. It came with the towing package and several other packages/trim levels. Most Tacos have the green hub.

    ORANGE hub is "standard".

What I believe what happened is at the production line, what ever was available they slapped it in. Being Orange hub is the most used they probably ran out and just used the green hub.

oh, that's not the oil cooler its the A/C condenser. My oil cooler is sandwitched between A/C cooler and radiator.

I'm still hoping someone can confirm that I will be able to leave the factory fittings installed into the radiator and not use the supplied Insta-dapt fitting. If the new hoses fit snugly over the existing fittings, why switch the fittings?

I'm gonna bypass the radiator completely, I might try to run the hose around to the side so I'll probably order additional hoses.

I'm going to run mine in series. My coolant and trans fluids are changed on time or early, and I'm not very worried about pink milkshake. However it does get hot here in the Summer in Sacramento, so I want both cooler operational.

the green fan clucth engages earlier and stays engaged longer for improved cooling at low speeds.
