You know it is pretty funny how we all (with stock lockers) have this sticker, yet read it differently!

You can see the word 'switch' is added to clarify between the locker use and the switch use. Don't push the switch when wheels are spinning.. BUT, it does clearly (to me) say use the locker under 5 mph and only to get unstuck... Toyota's recommendation (and yes I know it works at speed and won't blow up).

Since the locker only works in low range on 4WD Off Roads, you won't be doing highway speeds with it engaged! You are stopped when you engage it, and creep forward to help it lock in place, turning tires to one direction only if it fails pointed straight.

The 2WD Off Roads don't have that low range speed limit...

His rear locker was engaged (per his dash lights) and that overrides the ABS and traction controls.

My truck did this today. I did not hit the button at all. The last time I touched this button was to get my truck out of the beach area when I almost got stuck, but the light never turned on. And today when pulling out of a parking lot the lights came on (same as this guys the ABS and Diff Lock) and my truck started sliding the back tires. I turned my truck off and then back on and the lights were still there. So I pressed the RR Diff Lock button and it did not turn them off. then as I tried to drive around again I heard a snap and the lights turned off and everything was normal again but now there's a leak next to my front right wheel.

Before my current 2015 I had a 2011 TRD OR. One day the diff lock light came on randomly driving down the freeway. It didn't blink on quickly, it started out dim and got brighter over about 10-15 seconds.

Back at the diff there is a plunger switch that tells the dash when the locker is fully engaged. Very simple switch, similar to a reverse light switch on the side of a manual transmission case. I pulled the switch out, worked the plunger up and several times with my thumb, put it back in and never saw the light again. Just something to check

The trac control and abs gets locked out because the truck thinks the locker is engaged

If he heard a snap I'd think maybe somehow the shift fork engaged the locker while at speed? And the leak at the front wheel doesn't make sense to me, nothing to leak at the front wheels except for maybe some melted grease if a wheel bearing got smoked.
