I have a strange issue with my high beam headlights. They dont work. The fuse is good and the relay switch is good, and I have tested the bulbs. I have just found out that I am not getting power to the 2 high beam fuses. When I test it with my multimeter i get .02 volts when the high beam switch is on and i get 0.06v when the high beam switch is off. I took a short wire and connected one side to the positive terminal of the battery and the other side to one of the high beam fuses. This instantly turns on the high beams regardless of the position of the high beam light switch or “key” position.

I guess my question is does anyone know how to fix a fuse that is getting no power.

So you are on extended warranty of some type?

If the LEDs are in the OE fittings, put the OE bulbs back in place. Free and easy test, just to make sure it's all circuit related.

A fuse backing up a fuse is not real normal unless it's pretty big powering different things. The lights go off with the key and the signal lever controls the high/low so it's going to be good search.

If you are not getting voltage to the fuse, you need to check the relay. It powers the fuse circuit.

I switched out (swapped) the relay from low beam to highbeam and the low beam still worked and high beam still did not. So i assumed the relay was okay (or not the issue).... is there another way to test relays?

That should be a good test. I didn't see read far enough, lol. I would check to see if you have primary voltage to the relay. Pull it and check the pins. If you are troubleshooting this yourself, you will probably need an electrical schematic from AllData to find the grounds as well.

If there is no power to the fuse no amount of grounds is going to fix it. The lights are on two fuses so if one is blown the other light will still work. So what supplies power to both fuses? High low switch? Is it relayed or part of a control module that operates from the key switch? Are they joined in the fuse panel and one connection to one of the fuses is fubared?

One question... Has this always been there since you have owned it or did it just happen all of sudden?
