Translation = it works. I think.

Worked on my Taco twice. Gifted one to my brother. Bailed him out with his Highlander once already. So there you go, more data points.

Edit: Oh, works on my John Deere riding lawnmower constantly.

Guess I'm the only one with a micro start? Has been excellent the two years I've had it, holds charge incredibly well.

I would get a micro start. It’s just I needed more mAh Than the versions I saw but they seemed solid.

Translation= yup guess it works for me, even my broke John Deere I have yet to replace the bad battery on. Still not sure why my new(ish) Taco needed a jump twice but it was easier to get this.

I have 2 of these they work great, they have started every car or truck I've hooked them to. However if the alternator is not charging the vehicle will only run for 30 seconds. https://tinyurl.com/y3rrmob7 11.jpg

so at work I use one of these.

I've had a NOCO GB 40 for 2 years that I keep in my motorcycle saddlebag. About 2 months ago I jump started a friend's dead Peterbilt....it has also helped out countless Harleys.

I have a GB20 in my Kawasaki Pro, a GB 40 in my Tacoma and one in my wife’s Tahoe, a GB 70 in my Cummins and a G7200 charger for random uses. I love Noco

Yeah somebody put together a group buy on here a year or two ago so I got mine at a slightly discounted rate. It is great though. Jumps cars in seconds, good charger for phones and such while away from power, has a nice flashlight for camping or emergency situations. My charge has lasted at least a year plus while left unused in the truck parked outside during rocky mountain winter. All in all pretty pleased with mine. I'm sure some of these other brands are great a well but I have no first hand expeirience.

Anyone have experience with the NoCo (or any of the other brands for that matter) leaving it in the truck/car for a while in hot weather? How did the charge hold? did battery life degrade over time?

That's a smoking deal! NOCO is an awesome product. Would recommend without a doubt.

I use a Everstart Max 600amp 12000mAH pack. Got it for free and it's normally like 80$ at walmart so why not lol

The cold is typically worse on battery life. I usually check mine every few months and have always been fine. For peace of mind, I charge them every 6 months or so.

wait, really? I though cold preserved battery life, unless it gets so cold that the electrical stuff stop working, and heat degrades the battery.

I charge mine up prior to winter or long stays at the airport. Guess I haven’t had it long enough (3 years) to notice charge issues.

Cold weather vs cool weather. Like Northern and Midwest winter cold.

Of course depending where you are 110° weather can be bad too.

So I guess technically, depending where you live... hot could be worse then cold or cold could be worse then hot.

oh, ok, I see what you mean. I was asking about hot, like >100°. I leave mine in my truck, and while its not quite that hot out, I'm sure it gets about that in the truck when its just sitting there under the sun. I think I'll start taking it out, and keeping in my car that stays in the shade all day.

3 years without charge issues is pretty good, in my opinion. Thanks.

    Got ya.

With these things you can and should have one in each vehicle. Just check the power level once every month or few. The charges last a REALLY long time.
