Noctilucent clouds are a fairly new phenomenon to the world, bright electric blue clouds ONLY seen at a certain point during dawn, they come out of no where it seems and Shine Bright and light up the sky. They normally are only seen in high latitudes such as Poland, Russia, etc. But in the last week, they have invaded the Northern US. People all over Northern North America have been reporting this phenomenon in places like Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, NC and Wisconsin, etc. So I thought I would try my luck and see if I could spot any, and after an hour of searching and waiting I was about to give up, when I saw some Light blue whisps forming above me, and sure enough, there they were! I snapped some photos and as the sky got darker, the clouds got Brighter and more technicolor. Even had a Spooky encounter with one cloud. Keep a lookout everyone!!!!

See something kind of Spooky and odd in this one?

Thanks! Ya, there are a new occurance in the last week in the northern part of the country, Scientists still don't know what causes them, where they come from, or why they form, the only thing they know is that they are about the height of the Ozone which makes them invisible during the day and evening, and only seen at dusk when they reflect sunlight. Keep a lookout, if you see Bright blue wispy clouds late dusk, you're probably seeing some. Read more http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2003/19feb_nlc.htm
