I recently put bilsteins/OME coils and a set of wheelers AAL on my 2010 double cab long bed. There is a "clunking noise" now in the rear when I go over bumps and I can't figure out where it is coming from... Yesterday I had to carry a load of equip in my bed for the first time since lifting (about 200lbs or so) and the noise went away!

What would cause a noise when the bed is empty but go away once a load was in the bed?

    thanks!

Start with checking torque on everything.
Just a wild guess, upper shock mount.

toytec 3 in lift, exhaust, HID, interior LED,
I got the toytec ultimate lift and was 5100s in the read had same problem take it out for some good off-roading and test it out and push it's limits that's what I did and now rides great but remember it's all new it will need time to settle. Just after 100 miles or so recheck all bolts and nuts that's what I did and tightened everything back up.

It sounds stupid, but check to see if there are any unused brake line brackets that are now just floating back there. I suggest it because I made that mistake.

Agree with double checking the torque, especially the leaf pack. FYI- Ubolts torque is 73 ft/lbs, not 37 ft/lbs as seen in some toyota sites.

Driveline out of alignment due to lift and the load put it closer back to specs? Just a thought.
