Good Evening folks, This morning my truck started to do a strange noise while the A/C recirculating button is on, its a constant popping noise, i took out the glove box and i saw that the two lids that close the exterior air flow are making the noise, anyone had this same issue?

Mine is doing the exact same thing. Stops just as soon as I hit the recirculation button to outside air. Let me know if you find the solution. I have a new born at home and won't have time to work on it for a while.

I took out the plastic piece between the windshield and hood. The dampers don't seem to end to close, as if the electric motor that closes them just want to keep closing them... damn it...

Mine is just the opposite. It works ONLY on recirculate.. unless it's cold outside. If It's hot out or I'm running the heater using outside air I get the popping noise. I've traced it to the white synthetic plastic arm that controls the door. It appears that the gears (also synthetic plastic) that move the arm have fatigued and when it's hot around them the plastic gives way and the gears slip. When it's cold there's no problem as the plastic isn't as soft. Looked into fixing it and the whole unit would have to be replaced at a cost of over $1000 just for the parts. Maybe I can find a junk yard and pull it myself.

Mine does the same thing no matter what setting it's on but only on the last quarter turn on the heat control. So I can go 3/4 of the way and no noise once I get to that last 1/4 turn it makes the noise. I also noticed if I disconnect the connector on the passenger side next to center console just under the dash the noise stops. Don't know what that plug does.
