hi guys, need to find out what's wrong in my truck.

    its a 95 taco 4wd 4 cyl 2.7L reg cab.

My truck makes a kinda loud ticking sound when going in reverse, sounds more like a banging noise, it sounds like its comming from the trany and it only does it in reverse.

I can feel the banging noise in the steering wheel, its almost as if the u-joint were loose or if the shafts were loose, you know something that's rotating and hitting something as it rotates.

Does anybody know what the hell this noise is? and have you had it fixed?

any comments, sugetions will be greatly appreciated...

Sounds like u-joints to me! I'm sure they are over due if never changed before!

I just bought a 2003 and mine makes a noise going into drive or reverse, sort of like a clunk, click noise, determined that it is the slip yoke on drive shaft, i think yours has this...? grease them up every 3k they said, if your noise is same as mine it is characteristic...
