I like Nokian tires in general and those treads look good. Really not digging the sidewalls though.

I'm new to TW, but a long-time lurker. I ordered a set of 265/70R17 LT Outpost ATs for my '21 TRD OR that will be in next week. I'm a Nokian fan and have run different models on all my vehicles. I currently have my old '03 4Runner steelies and Nokian Nordman 7 SUV winters on my truck but I've also run Rotiivas year-round in the past. Unfortunately, I was forced to replace my 4Runner last year after 450,000 kms of faithful service. My new truck is primarily used to get me to and from the mountains where I'm often on gravel and sketchy logging roads. I spent a long time debating what tires to upgrade to, and the Outposts won based on a few things: 1) the Outpost is E rated but weighs only 47.4 lbs; 2) it's reinforced with Nokian's version of kevlar and has a 100,000 km warranty; 3) price and availability; and 4) positive personal experience with Nokians - and TBH, they look pretty good in person. Now, with all that said, I may hate them after I get them on... I will post some pictures next week and provide some updates over time.

These are on my short list for my next tire, but have been waiting for confirmation production has transitioned from Russia to Tennessee.

The other Nokian all terrains famously have awful tread wear. I wouldn't put anything but their winters on my truck.

Nokians are good at winter, thats it.

Thanks @splitbolt for the comment and conscience check. After being fixated on just the tire specs, I had not stopped to consider where the tires were made. I knew Nokian had a plant in Russia, but had always assumed that the majority of their tires were produced in Finland. After a quick check, I learned that 80% of their production comes from their factory near St. Petersburg. I also looked at what Nokian has said regarding the war (last statement was March 8) and where they rank on the Yale School of Management action list of companies still in Russia. Nokian is planning meaningful reduction, and they have plans to produce the Outpost in Tennessee, but that won't happen for a while.

Here is where this hits home for me. I have friends in Kyiv who are living through this nightmare and I can't in good conscience, put tires made in Russia on my truck. Even though ethically, the tires were produced months ago and any funds have long since change hands, I can't go through with it. Therefore, I went to my local shop today and cancelled my order and explained why. They completely understood. I then ordered a set of 'c' load KO2s which will cost considerably more and will take a long time to come in - but that's okay. I have also written Nokian a letter explaining my decision.

I really like Nokian tires and have nothing but good things to say about their performance - and if things change, the Outposts may be my next set, but not this year. Thanks again splitbolt for your comment. Much appreciated.

Strange,my tires still look like new. I've had 4 different sets of tires on my 15' thus far,and these are my favorite set.

I am obviously wrong that this is revised! smh

Didn’t look at that size in SL… will delete post to avoid confusion, and contact Nokian to ask when they will correct.

    thanks!
